Thanks, I fixed it

Keep in mind- their system automatically voids your win if anyone in your household has won a prize (any value, even a cookie) from the 9 beer brands listed, in the previous 6 months. They enforce it, it happened to me. From the official rules:

"Please note that there is a limit of one (1) prize per individual, household, street address, and/or email address during any six (6) month period across all HEINEKEN USA Inc. promotions, regardless of brand (Heineken, Amstel, Dos Equis, Murphy s, Newcastle, Red Stripe, Strongbow, Tecate, and Tiger)."

Boy that's a harsh policy.

Yep, that's why I decided to forego accepting an Instant Win prize of a backpack w/ speakers, koozies, and keychains, so as to retain my eligibility for other, higher-value prizes. I'm not entering these contests daily for koozies and keychains!

A level of winning so low....you wouldn't believe it. I wouldn't take the cookie or koozie too....I would take the grand prize tho! So much low level winning for so much waiting

HaHa, I meant koozie (not cookie), I must have been wanting a cookie! Anunnaki, I wonder if you have to formally accept a IW prize for it to be counted as a win? Just playing & hitting the "instant win" screen might be enough to flag u as a winner in their system. When it happened to me they didn't notify me I had been disqualified. I won a nice ice chest (approx $300) that never arrived. I followed up and it took a while but they finally answered back. They said their records showed my household had won a pair of socks within the previous 6 months. I vaguely remembered the socks, so it rang true. Also when I won the ice chest I got the "winner" email telling me I won and it would arrive 6-8 weeks after the sweep ended. I only followed up after waiting out those 6-8 weeks.

While I understand it's their policy, I think it's disgusting that they apply said policy to lowball prizes. I got burned too but at least all I won was a small Venmo amount, but I had to wait from winning in nearly the beginning until the end of the sweep, then 6-8 weeks after that, THEN only to find out I was disqualified. AT LEAST TELL PEOPLE they haven't won!!!

njrudy, did you find out you were disqualified unprompted or were you following up?

Posted by: ddharris42 on May 16, 2025

In my case, I was sent an email notification from Million Dollar Media [MDM] with a required 'Affidavit of Eligibility, Prize Acceptance & Liability/Publicity Release & Consent' that I was asked to sign and return. It stated, "Failure to return this completed document within 3-days of receipt may constitute forfeiture of the prize." I replied to the email saying that I was foregoing the IW prize to retain my eligibility for other prizes and did not return the Affidavit. Incidentally, MDM did not respond or acknowledge my email.

I had to follow up, they never said I was disqualified until I begged them for an answer. It might have been another beer brand though, maybe similar groups have a similar policy?

Posted by: mjrudy on May 16, 2025

mjrudy, I've only ever seen this policy on this group of beer brands. Heineken, Amstel, Dos Equis, Murphy s, Newcastle, Red Stripe, Strongbow, Tecate, and Tiger.
