Sorry, no cranberries in the turkey corn chowder recipe. Turkey in three forms: schmaltz, broth, and cooked meat.
Turkey Corn Chowder (ingredient choices): turkey schmalz or other cooking oil, onion, carrot, celery, thyme, flour, turkey or other stock, water, salt, cooked turkey, whipping cream, canned corn, pepper to taste, and chopped parsley.

BTW, I've never heard of turkey schmalz. Can I assume it's a type of oil?

Me neither, but it's in the recipe and Wikipedia says "Schmaltz (also spelled schmalz or shmalz) is rendered (clarified) chicken or goose fat. It is an integral part of traditional Ashkenazi Jewish cuisine..."
