Clue 2: Only three Canadian provinces joined the country after 1900. A capital city in one of those provinces is linguistically related to the capital city of the province where the Stanley Cup is hiding.
So that is Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Regina is related to Victoria as Regina means queen in latin. An alternative would be Charlottetown, named after Queen Charlotte.

So I am going to go with Victoria. Specifically the monument for the commemorative monument near Oak Bay High School marking the location and the Cougars 1925 Stanley Cup win. Across the street from there was the original arena for the area that hosted the Cougars and the first professional team called the Victoria Senators.

BC is most likely because Regina and Victoria are linguistically related, as noted above. However, it could be anywhere in BC. It does not suggest that it will be found within the capital, just in the province that has the capital.

Alternatively, Clue#2 might only just rule out Quebec (all 3 provinces that joined post-1900 are predominantly English-speaking).. So, Yukon and Quebec are confirmed out.

I agree with tikimongoose and slegr so far. I am going to start guessing somewhere in BC too. But I have to wait for the UPC as I emailed for one as per rules for alternative method of entry. I think this is a fun contest every year and am so glad that Kruger will also randomly draw for a grand prize (not just a grand prize for the exact or close to exact location of the cup). Almost all provinces and territories in Canada share their time zone with at least one other, with the exception of the island of Newfoundland.

I will still be going with somewhere in BC. The last clue didn't provide much help in determining which province, only in eliminating Newfoundland and Labrador and even that is debatable. While that province does have the half hour time zone, not all parts follow it. Most of Labrador follow the atlantic time zone and thus the province does share a time zone with other provinces.
Some may want to reread clue 2. That clue does not indicate that the cup in in one of the three provinces that joined after 1900. It indicates that it is in a province where there is a linguistic relationship between the capital city of one of those provinces and the capital city of the province where the cup is hidden. So I go with BC for now.

BC has two time zones: Pacific and Mountain. Especially now, BC will stay on DST and not switch in fall. It will not be in synch with Alberta when it changes back to standard time. If Mountain ahead in summer, Alberta also switch on DST, and they will be an hour ahead of Pacific time and an hour behind Alberta standard time. SK is on standard time all year

Everyone is saying PEI, so for some confirmation bias let's say maybe the song is Tillsonburg (ON) by Stompin' Tom. Apparently he worked the tobacco fields there. His boyhood home was in Skinners Pond (PEI) where he was raised by an adoptive family on a local farm." One problem with this theory is he was born in NB, so is he really from PEI?

Doing a quick search...the song is likely "River Valley Plains" by PEI singer-songwriter Catherine MacLellan. It was released on her 2006 album and focuses on the imagery of agricultural life and the prairies, often described as a tribute to farming life in Western Canada (Saskatchewan).

Tourism P.E.I. and the NHL have signed a three-year, $7.5 million promotional deal in 2024 to market the island to hockey fans. The partnership features PEI branding on rink boards, television spots, and the hosting of events like the 2024 NHL Partner Summit etc.
The sponsor of this contest as per the rules is the NHL.
This could be part of that deal.

It's a red herring.Day 16 Inner sanctuary is probably the inside of the goal which is white ice, and the flags of NB, NL, NS, and PEI all have white in them. If you define the inner sanctuary as the crease it is blue. PEI doesn't have blue in their official tartan or flag. Day 15 is a also a red herring. Key word is Region, i.e. Atlantic Canada since the first sunrise in Canada happens in NL.

Every NHL crease is "skirted" by a red line defining the blue area. Of course, the net structure is red. So if you consider the tartan of mentioned PEI you have the red hues and you have red hues defining the crease..

I think the Postal Code clue is AI slop. No "C" in "Prine" Edward Island and a "B" in "Noba" Scotia must be what they thought, because today's clue about highest point being X meters lower than the highest point in Canada only works for PEI. Anyway just my opinion
